Title: Construction Safety Manager (Confidential - Data Center Construction Project)
Location: Chicagoland Area
Salary Range: $40-45/hr + time-and-a-half overtime

A well-established electrical contractor is hiring a Construction Safety Manager for a high-profile, 2-year data center construction project for 4 locations in the Chicagoland area.
This is a field-based safety role for someone who has real construction safety experience and can keep a fast-moving project compliant, organized, and safe. The right person has worked around active construction sites, understands OSHA construction standards, can run inspections and safety documentation, and is comfortable partnering directly with project leaders and field teams.
What You’ll Do
• Lead site safety execution, inspections, audits, and hazard identification.
• Support OSHA compliance, site-specific safety plans, and job hazard analyses.
• Manage incident reporting, investigations, corrective actions, and documentation.
• Track workforce training, onboarding compliance, and safety records.
• Partner with project leadership and trades to maintain a strong safety culture.
What They Need
• 3-5+ years of construction safety experience required.
• Construction safety background is mandatory; quality-only candidates will not be considered.
• OSHA construction knowledge required; OSHA 30 and CPR/First Aid preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and field presence.
• Ability to work 70-80 hour weeks with overtime.
Additional Details
• Time and a half paid for overtime.
• 3 weeks vacation + 2 floating holidays.
• Benefits through BCBS after 90 days, plus dental and vision.
• 401(k) eligible after 6 months.
• Monthly taxable living support may be available for relocation candidates.
