General Manager

Are you a seasoned hospitality leader who thrives on running a high-volume, high-profile restaurant at the highest level? Wayfare Tavern is looking for a dynamic, results-driven General Manager to lead our restaurant and continue delivering the exceptional experiences our guests have come to love.

This role is ideal for an experienced GM with a strong track record in high-end, high-volume hospitality who knows how to build great teams, run a tight operation, and protect the guest experience while owning the bottom line.

The General Manager is ultimately accountable for the full success of Wayfare Tavern — culture, guest experience, financial performance, and team development. The ideal candidate is a confident, hands-on leader who can set the vision and standards, then hold the team accountable to them every single day.

Key Responsibilities

• Own full accountability for restaurant operations, guest experience, and financial performance
• Lead, mentor, and hold accountable the management team, including the Operations Manager and department leads
• Set the standard for guest relations and personally resolve escalated guest concerns
• Drive hiring, training, and development strategy across all front-of-house teams
• Ensure consistent execution of opening/closing standards and daily operations
• Oversee P&L management, including labor, controllable costs, and revenue goals
• Partner with ownership and Director of Operations on strategic planning and business goals
• Ensure full compliance with HR policies, labor law, and company standards; foster a positive, respectful workplace culture
• Oversee use of operational systems (OpenTable, POS, Google Docs, etc.) across the leadership team
• Maintain the overall standards, presentation, and reputation that define Wayfare Tavern

Qualifications

• Required: Prior General Manager or senior restaurant management experience
• Experience in top-rated or high-end restaurants strongly preferred
• Deep understanding of restaurant operations, P&L management, and service standards
• Proven ability to lead a team and a business under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Excellent communication, leadership, and guest-relations skills
• Genuine passion for food, beverage, and hospitality excellence
