About the Role

This is not a traditional restaurant management position. The General Manager will oversee a premier Asian dining destination specializing in banquets, private events, corporate functions, weddings, VIP hospitality, and large-scale celebrations.

We are looking for a proven hospitality leader who is passionate about guest experience, team development, operational excellence, and executing high-profile events. This is an outstanding opportunity to lead one of New York City’s premier Asian dining and event venues while growing with one of the region’s fastest-growing hospitality groups.

Key Responsibilities

Manage staffing, scheduling, labor costs, inventory, and operational efficiency.
Monitor financial performance, including sales, labor, food cost, and profitability.
Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and VIP guests.
Maintain the highest standards of hospitality, cleanliness, food quality, and service.
Ensure compliance with all company policies and local health and safety regulations.
Work closely with executive leadership on business growth initiatives and special projects.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of restaurant management experience.
At least 2 years of experience as a General Manager or senior restaurant leader.
Demonstrated success managing high-volume restaurants, banquet facilities, catering operations, or event-focused hospitality businesses.
Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and organizational skills.
Proven ability to manage large teams in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with budgeting, labor management, inventory control, and financial reporting.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when business demands require.

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese is a strong plus.
Experience managing upscale Asian restaurants or fine dining concepts.
Extensive experience with private dining, weddings, corporate events, catering, and large banquet operations. Familiarity with restaurant POS systems, scheduling software, and operational reporting

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate has experience managing restaurants generating $4 million+ in annual sales, or has successfully led venues that regularly host banquets, weddings, private events, or corporate functions serving 150–500+ guests.

You are a hands-on leader who enjoys building strong teams, solving operational challenges, delivering exceptional hospitality, and creating memorable guest experiences.
