Our client, one of the nation's largest and fastest-growing specialty pharmacies, is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead pharmacy operations in Reno, NV.
With more than 30 years of experience in home infusion services , the organization is focused on delivering high-quality patient care and improving outcomes for patients requiring specialized therapies.
This role combines pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance, clinical oversight, and team leadership . The Pharmacy Manager will oversee daily operations while ensuring medications are prepared and dispensed safely, regulatory standards are maintained, and pharmacy staff have the leadership and resources needed to provide exceptional patient care.
• Oversee daily pharmacy operations in accordance with state and federal regulations
• Ensure pharmacy policies, procedures, and quality standards are consistently followed
• Direct inventory management, medication storage, handling, and disposal processes
• Maintain accurate documentation and records to support regulatory compliance
• Lead periodic compliance audits and maintain ongoing audit readiness
• Identify opportunities to improve pharmacy workflows, operational efficiency, and quality
• Ensure the accurate and safe preparation and dispensing of home infusion therapies
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to support individualized medication regimens
• Provide medication therapy management as appropriate
• Educate and counsel patients regarding medications and treatment plans
• Support high standards of patient safety, quality, and clinical care
• Partner with clinical teams and providers to optimize patient outcomes
• Lead, mentor, train, and develop pharmacy staff
• Manage employee scheduling and day-to-day staffing needs
• Establish performance expectations and address employee performance when necessary
• Promote a collaborative, accountable, and patient-focused pharmacy environment
• Support ongoing professional development and continuing education
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with healthcare providers
• Collaborate with pharmaceutical manufacturers and industry partners
• Serve as a knowledgeable representative of the pharmacy within the healthcare community
• Support relationships that strengthen patient care and organizational growth
• Pharmacy leadership or management experience
• Strong understanding of pharmacy operations and regulatory compliance
• Knowledge of medication storage, handling, dispensing, and inventory management
• Ability to lead, mentor, and develop pharmacy professionals
• Strong commitment to patient safety and high-quality care
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare providers and other clinical stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
• Specialty pharmacy experience
• Home infusion pharmacy experience
• Experience managing pharmacy compliance and regulatory audits
• Background in medication therapy management and patient education
• Experience leading pharmacy teams in a high-growth environment
• Base Salary: $140,000–$155,000, negotiable based on experience
