Immigration Litigation Attorney (EOIR)
Salary:

• $130,000 – $150,000 annually (based on experience)

Job Summary:
A well-established and rapidly growing immigration law firm is seeking an experienced Immigration Litigation Attorney to join its Chicago office. This position focuses on EOIR representation and removal defense , providing the opportunity to advocate for clients in complex immigration matters while making a meaningful impact on individuals and families.

Job Responsibilities:

• Represent clients before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) in detained and non-detained proceedings.
• Handle all phases of removal defense, including master calendar hearings, bond hearings, individual hearings, and appeals.
• Prepare and argue motions, briefs, and other legal filings.
• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for immigration court hearings and interviews.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed throughout the legal process.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff to ensure exceptional case preparation.
• Stay current on changes in immigration laws, EOIR procedures, and legal precedents.

 
Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in any U.S. state (Illinois preferred).
• Experience handling EOIR cases and removal defense is required.
• Strong litigation, legal writing, and courtroom advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and client service skills.
• Spanish fluency is strongly preferred.
• Passion for immigration law and serving diverse communities.
