Recreation and tours: bookable Outer Banks adventures, including hang gliding, watersports, boat and jet ski rentals, dolphin tours, kayak tours, kiteboarding, parasailing, and fishing experiences.
Retail stores: 30+ destination locations where guests browse, book, and buy across Kitty Hawk Kites and its family of brands.
What you will do

- Analyze email performance metrics and implement improvements to drive engagement and conversions; collaborate with recreation & adventures, ecommerce, retail operations, and buying teams to ensure timely and relevant messaging.
- Lead and manage the social media team responsible for organic content and paid advertising on Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube.
- Develop social media strategy that aligns with overall marketing and business objectives across all business units; manage budget allocation across channels and monitor ROI.
- Monitor social media trends and implement best practices to maximize reach and engagement; create and curate content that showcases recreation & adventures experiences, ecommerce products, and retail offerings.
- Work collaboratively with the Marketing Coordinator and Director of Marketing to execute integrated campaigns.
- Partner with the Recreation & Adventures team to promote experiences, programs, and offerings, and with the Ecommerce team to promote products, manage promotions, and drive online sales.
- Coordinate with the Retail Operations team to ensure consistent messaging across store locations, and with the Buying team to align marketing efforts with product launches and seasonal offerings.
- Communicate campaign performance and insights across all departments; develop and manage marketing budgets for assigned channels.
- Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics and marketing ROI; stay current with industry trends, platform updates, and digital marketing best practices.
- Support special projects and marketing initiatives as assigned.

- 3+ years of professional experience in digital marketing, with at least 1 year in a leadership or management role.
- Proven expertise in email marketing campaigns and strategy and demonstrated experience with paid social media advertising (Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube).
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms and organic social strategy; experience managing and mentoring a digital marketing team.
- Proficiency with marketing analytics tools and data-driven decision making; excellent project-management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in recreation, adventure sports, or ecommerce industries, and familiarity with retail and omnichannel marketing strategies, is a plus.
- Experience with marketing automation platforms, A/B testing and conversion optimization, and event or experiential marketing is a plus.
