Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Database Infrastructure Engineer based in Atlanta, GA, to design, maintain, and optimize enterprise database environments. The role focuses on automation, scheduling management, infrastructure scaling, and ensuring high availability and performance of core data systems within an Azure Cloud and Windows Server environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, provision, and manage hardware and software for database infrastructure including Azure Cloud services and Windows Servers.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and state data privacy regulations while managing user permissions.
• Design, implement, and monitor automated database jobs, maintenance tasks, and ETL workflows.
• Develop and maintain scripts (e.g., SSIS, PowerShell) to automate DBA tasks, deployments, backups, and health checks.
• Proactively monitor system performance, optimize queries, manage indexing, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Maintain and test disaster recovery strategies and conduct failover testing.
• Provide 24/7 support for mission-critical systems as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support application development, data integration, IIS administration, and implement security and performance best practices.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Strong expertise in managing enterprise database platforms such as MS SQL Server, Windows Server, and Azure Cloud environments.
• Advanced proficiency in scripting languages including PowerShell and SSIS for automation.
• Solid understanding of storage systems, network architecture, and cloud infrastructure (Azure).
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills under pressure during critical production incidents.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate and Microsoft SQL Server certifications.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps processes, and .NET applications.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience with PowerApps, Power BI Services, and Power Automate.

Special Considerations:

• Availability to provide 24/7 support for mission-critical systems as needed.
• Strict adherence to data governance and state data privacy regulations.

Scheduling:

• Regular shift from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST.
• Job duration is 10+ months with the possibility of extension.
