POSITION OVERVIEW
Our client, an established family law firm, is seeking an Associate Attorney to manage a diverse caseload and provide skilled, compassionate representation to clients navigating complex family law matters.
This role is well suited for a litigation attorney with strong writing, negotiation, and courtroom skills. Family law experience is preferred but not required.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Manage cases involving divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, agreements, and adoptions.
• Counsel clients and develop individualized legal strategies.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, briefs, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in hearings, motions, trials, mediation, and settlement conferences .
• Conduct legal research and analyze relevant statutes and case law.
• Present evidence, examine witnesses, and advocate for clients in court.
• Negotiate settlements and work toward effective case resolutions.
• Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and outside experts.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and complex matters.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the applicable state bar.
• 1–5+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, and organizational skills.
• Courtroom, negotiation, and client-management abilities.
• Ability to manage emotionally sensitive matters with professionalism and tact.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
• Family law litigation involving divorce, custody, and support matters.
• Familiarity with local family court procedures and statutes.
• Mediation and settlement negotiation experience.
COMPENSATION
• $110,000–$130,000+ annual salary.
